Jan 22 Crying at dinner



33. Pan-Seared Shrimp

I am sure that you will see how dinner went by this photo....
While Dave and I thought that dinner was good, the kids did not seem to agree with us! As I type Elise is still in the dining room crying because she will not shallow a piece of shrimp. Its been almost an hour!

*2lb shrimp (extra large) peeled and deveined
*salt and pepper
*1/8 tsp sugar
*2 TBSP veg. oil
*2 TBSP unsalted butter
*1 TBSP Lemon juice
*1 TBSP parsley

Pat the shrimp dry then add the salt, pepper and sugar to the shrimp
Heat 1 TBSP oil on high heat until it is smoking
Add half the shrimp to the pan in a single layer until the shrimp are curled and pink on both sides (about 2 minutes)
Transfer the shrimp to a bowl and cover to keep warm
Repeat with the remaining shrimp
Off heat return shrimp to warm skillet
Add butter, lemon juice and parsley
Toss until coated
